CAVE PEOPLE & GEYSIR

We made another shortstop by the “Cave People“, that we could see how a normal Icelandic family lived 100 years ago. The Caves have been renovated the way they looked when the last Cave People in Iceland lived there. Laugarvatnshellar is two man-made caves. Some have suggested the caves were made by Irish monks before the settlement in the year 874. Our final stop was a famous and highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits, exploding geysers, and the lively Strokkur geyser which spouts water 30 meters into the air every few minutes.
