KALLITHEA (Καλλιθέα)

The most popular holiday destination in North Greece is the Chalkidiki region famous for its white beaches. Its easily recognized because of its unique shape, it resembles three “fingers” that go into the sea – Kassandra, Sithonia, and Mt. Athos. Our first night we spent in Kallithea at Kassandra peninsula – the ultimate place to stay if you are a fan of clubbing. Before the night comes, you can enjoy the wonderful turquoise sea and the golden sand beach edged by pine trees. Kallithea´s beach bars and discotheques are the synonyms for entertaining nightlife that made Kallithea popular among the younger population. Our favorite busy beach bar was Lumma with friendly staff (cocktails – 10 EUR). At night, you can visit one of the many nightclubs in the party area just 15 minutes away from the town center. Anyway, it was not our cup of tea, because of unfriendly bouncers, nonsense dress code in 35°C temperatures, and expensive entry fees (🎫 12 EUR with a drink), which really do not support club-hopping. But the most important for us was, that most of them have a crazy “table system” which does not allow too much interaction, so we did choose to sit in one of the bars in town (Blu bar – Mythos beer – 6 EUR / 0,5 l).
