On the way to the north we have stopped in Aarhus – the second largest city in Denmark. Aarhus is situated in a green valley surrounded by woods and beaches – in fact a typically beautiful East Jutland landscape. We anchored our truck for overnight in the harbour in famous DOKK1, just few steps from Old Town. The original city grew up around the mouth of the Aarhus River. Here the Vikings decided to settle because of the location’s excellent potential as a harbour and trading position. In the centre we visited Cathedral from 1201.
