Palanga is the biggest seaside resort in Lithuania. It is located 29 kilometers north of Klaipėda. The famous ten kilometers long white sandy beach is lined by dunes and pine forests. Originally a fishermen’s village, Palanga was first mentioned in written sources in the 12th century. It has a huge promenade leading to the beach, where are located most of the cafes, pubs, restaurants, and nightclubs. Beer on the beach did cost us 4,5 € / 0,4 l and beer in the club around 5 € / 0,33 l with the usual entrance fee of 1 € / person. If you like the fun under the sun and if you are a party animal, then definitely you should not miss this great summer spot on the Lithuanian coast.
