LJUBLJANA

After three months break, we are back on the road! We took a long ride from our service location in the Czech Republic via Slovakia (toll 100 EUR) and Hungary (toll 3500 HUF) to Slovenia (toll 50 EUR). We made shortstop in one of the smallest European capitals – Ljubljana. It is a picturesque city, whose image has been marked by different periods of history. The main attraction is the Ljubljana Castle, standing on a hill above the city for about 900 years. The old town below is marked by the famous Triple Bridge which was designed by the world-renowned architect Jože Plečnik. We have scrolled around the Central Market, Dragon Bridge, Tivoli park, and Townhall – an exceptional Baroque palace with Venetian influences. Before leaving the city we have visited the Prešernov trg Square – the heart of the historic city center with pink Franciscan Church.
