As part of our one-day trip to Nosy Komba, we spent some free time at the uninhabited marine national park near Nosy Be, located on the tiny island of Nosy Tanikely, often described as an “underwater aquarium.” This protected sanctuary—where fishing and nighttime anchoring are prohibited—offers exceptional shallow-water snorkelling and diving, with sea turtles, vibrant coral reefs, and a wide variety of fish species.
We were served a simple seafood lunch with rice and zebu skewers. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes by speedboat to Nosy Be and around 15 minutes to Nosy Komba.
