MAD ZEBU

After visiting Kirindy Forest, we hurried toward Mad Zรฉbu, a highly regarded restaurant known for its refined Frenchโ€“Malagasy fusion cuisine. Considering its remote location, the quality of the food is remarkable, making it an essential lunch stop for travellers journeying between Morondava and the Tsingy de Bemaraha.

Reaching Belo sur Tsiribihina from Kirindy involves a tough, dusty 1.5-hour 4×4 drive, followed by a ferry crossing over the Tsiribihina River, which takes around 45 minutes. Transporting a vehicle across the river costs 80,000 MGA, while a private boat costs 30,000 MGA โ€” the option we chose on the return journey. On the way there, however, we joined a shared boat for just 4,000 MGA per person.
