The Zimbabwean side of Victoria Falls is widely regarded as the premier destination for viewing the waterfall, with around 75% of the official viewpoints located within its boundaries. Known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”), it features a beautifully maintained rainforest, spectacular panoramic views of the Main Falls, and impressive year-round water flow.
From our personal experience, however, we preferred visiting the falls from the Zambian side. Not only was the entrance fee about three times lower (🎟️58 USD in Zimbabwe, 🎟️20 USD in Zambia), but we also found the overall experience more enjoyable, particularly for photography, thanks to the varied viewing angles and opportunities to get much closer to the water.
