The M5 Lakeshore Road is in very poor condition between Nkhotakota and Senga Bay, turning what should have been a relatively short journey into a grueling six-hour drive to cover just 136 kilometers. Although the route offers spectacular lakeside scenery, the road itself is notoriously challenging, with massive potholes, washed-out sections, and numerous single-lane bridges slowing progress along the way.
