We arrived late at the most famous beach resort in Latvia. We did not find any good parking place close to the beach. We also could not find and gasoline station to refill our water tank. It was getting dark, so in the end, we have decided to use a campsite (26 € / night). Later we took a cheap Bold taxi (3 € / ride) to the downtown. We have scrolled around the deserted town center to find a pub or bar to take at least a glass of beer after the long drive. Everything was closed and it looked hopeless but finally, we found opened stylish beach club (beer 5 € / 0,5 l). In the morning we went back to the downtown and to our surprise, it has changed its atmosphere from sleeping destination to bustling holiday resort with “sand, sea & style”. This seaside resort with miles of sandy beaches and swaying pine trees is just 30 minutes drive from Riga.
