After our pilgrimage, we continued to the north with an overnight stop at Sikia. It is located right next to the seashore of the Pagasitic Gulf on the colorful green peninsula of Pelion Mountain. There is a long sandy beach, but the sea is a bit dirty, probably because of the near river, so it’s good for overnight, but not good enough for beach holidays. The only option for dinner is the popular Fishtaverna Makis (Chicken steak or Pork chop – 7 EUR, Amstel – 4 EUR / 0,5 l).
