DRIVE TO THABA BOSIU

Today we took the shortest route from Ts’ehlanyane National Park towards Thaba Bosiu, passing around the Kome Caves and through the rural tracks near Fako. The route was a real mix of paved main roads, gravel and rugged unpaved mountain tracks, some of which would normally require a high-clearance 4×4, especially after rain.

The scenery, however, made every rough kilometre worthwhile. Once we left the main A1 road, the route became increasingly remote, winding through mountain valleys and traditional rural settlements, with spectacular views in every direction. For us, travelling in our expedition truck, it was another beautiful and memorable drive through the Lesotho countryside.
