Sun waked up us in Jasná – the starting point of the cable car (22 EUR – return ticket) to Chopok (2024 m) – the third highest peak of the Low Tatras range (just after the neighboring Ďumbier and Štiavnica Peaks) in central Slovakia. We spent a quite long time in queues to get into all 3 cable cars to be able to reach the summit. So if you want to take 4 hours hike from Chopok to Ďumbier, you have to take the first ride at 08:30. We did not make it, but still, we have enjoyed nice panoramic views of High Tatras, Liptov, and the valley of Hron. We have parked just below the cable car station near the forest for free, otherwise, the fee is 10 EUR / night.
