We enjoyed great biking around the biggest lake in Southern Europe. The lake is located in Zeta – Skadar valley and is surrounded by mountains, two thirds of Skadar Lake lies in Montenegro and the rest is in Albania. The size of the lake varies from 530 to 370 km2, it is 44 km long and 14...

ULCINJ

Our first Montenegro’s resting & partying place was a sandy beach near Ulcinj. In the morning we got in the city – one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. It was founded in the 5th century BC, later in 163 BC, it was captured by the Romans from the Illyrians...

STARI BAR

The old town of Stari Bar resting on Londša hill, at the foot of Mount Rumija, in the southeast of Montenegro. The town has seen its fair share of troubles. Over the centuries it was taken over by the Venetians, the Serbians, the Hungarians, and the Ottoman Empire. The scene of a siege...

PETROVAC

We arrived late at this small village of Petrovac. We did plan overnight near the beach, but we got stuck in some one-way roads on the way there, but helpful locals flexibly stopped all the traffic for some time that we could get out of there. Finally, we found a good parking place on the...

BUDVA

We made shortstop for lunch, after long walking around Kotor, and after lunch, we walked through the gate to the old town. Stone walls built by the Venetians surround the narrow streets of the medieval Stari Grad (old town). This historic district is home to a seaside citadel and...

KOTOR

Overnight next to the lake behind the walls of the picturesque fortified town. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is located in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor and it is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone...

HERCEG NOVI

Herceg Novi is a coastal town in Montenegro located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen. It’s probably the most pleasant city on the Adriatic coast, still with traditional slow Montenegrin lifestyle. We spent a really hot day here climbing hundreds of stairs...

KUPARI

We stopped at Kupari for another lazy day at a strange beach surrounded by ghost buildings. Officially it was the Kupari Tourist Complex – a disused military tourist resort built for the elite of the Yugoslav army. In the 1960s a resort on a sandy bay was constructed, including five...

DUBROVNIK

After rush Bosnia and Herzegovina trip, we had two lazy days on the Adriatic coast. We also did not forget to make sightseeing in this limestone city with good nightlife and a relaxed atmosphere. The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the...

ON THE ROAD

Last few pictures of Bosnia and Herzegovina (on the way to Croatia), we have really enjoyed our tour, people were very friendly, the roads were in a good condition and we had nice weather. We can only recommend the visit of this hidden gem in Balkan.
